Responsible for weighing inbound and outbound containers/tankers.  Must keep accurate receiving logs of all inbound and outbound bulk shipments and complete paperwork required for all shipments. 


  • Vintner’s Advantage receipt and shipment of bulk wines.
  • Logging in/out all traffic
  • Inputting truck/trailer numbers, seal numbers, and times into the JDE system when logging in/out trucks.
  • Checking in orders for live loads referencing Appoints Plus /JDE
  • Communicating with the Shipping office when specific containers are entering/leaving the yard.
  • Stamping heavy and light weights for bulk wine tanker trucks and calculating the gallons for what is brought in and taken out.
  • Checking for discrepancies in our bulk wine gallons versus the gallons (brought in from, or shipped out to) other wineries.
  • Sorting the Bills of Lading in alphabetical order before sending them to the shipping office.
  • Filing the orders with the pick tickets and Bills of Lading in alpha-numerical order.
  • Keeping a log of the containers in the yard.Clearly communicating counts via email.
  • Receipt of packaging and RM from vendors.
  • Cover other admin roles within the shipping department based on business needs.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Good analytical and math skills
  • Computer literate
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work any shift and with minimal supervision
  • Weigh master certification preferred
  • Support and model all company procedures and policies
  • Must embrace and demonstrate The Wine Group Core Values - Performance, Empowered and Cost-mindful, and keep them in mind when making all decisions


  • Must be able to frequently lift and carry weights of up to 50 pounds at varying frequencies
  • Possess the ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Working environment has exposure to related warehouse equipment and associated noise levels
  • Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, standing, and twisting in the performance of various task in the warehouse environment
  • Work activities may also include typical tasks found in an office environment
