As a member of the Marketing Team, the Associate Brand Manager Intern will be based at our Livermore, CA location. This person will thrive in a culture that is creative, brand-savvy, entrepreneurial, fast-paced, solutions-focused, team-oriented, zealously cost-conscious, upbeat and fun. S/he will be a creative and results-driven innovator with strong competencies in strategy, commercialization, execution and project management.

This person will be excited to learn about the alc/bev industry and prepared to leverage their strong grounding in CPG marketing best practices.  


The ideal candidate will have a unique combination of best-in-class skills, competence and confidence as a brand marketer, excellent communicator, and team player.  

More specifically, the ideal profile is as follows:

  • Creative Brand Manager:  Intuitively “gets” brands and consumer motivations. Has experience directing graphic designers toward consumer needs.
  •  Analytical Competency: Demonstrated ability to gather and assimilate data from various sources, assess business performance and provide recommendations for improvement or growth.
  • Entrepreneurial Track Record and Competitive Drive: Proven success in an entrepreneurial venture, including an appreciation for an environment of resource limitations, cost control, prudent risk taking and limitless creativity.  Ability to manage ambiguity and multiple priorities.
  • Innovative Thinker and Demand Creator: Skilled innovator who is comfortable operating in a non-traditional, fast-paced environment. Someone who is competent assessing industry opportunities and developing creative concepts and solutions to fit these opportunities. Has experience with product development, graphic design management and retailer program execution.
  • Intellectual Curiosity: Connects “the dots” quickly and perceptively. Problem solves without a road map. Fascinated by emerging consumer trends and design. Enjoys challenging conventional wisdom.
  • Communication Skills: Translates data into focused insights. Highly articulate. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; operates equally effectively in formal and informal settings and internally and externally. Well-honed influencing skills; courage to confidently express an independent point of view.
  • Cultural Astuteness and Flexibility: Is pragmatic, adaptable and focused in a fast-paced environment. Adapts strategies and approach as new information and circumstances arise. Is resilient in the face of challenging obstacles.
  • Energy:  Shows passion, intensity and excitement. Is outcome/results focused and drives issues to closure. Resourceful and innovative (scrappy); always pushing to find new and better ways of working. Works hard for results.

  • In process of obtaining an MBA preferred.
  • Preferred but not required: CPG brand management experience from an “academy” CPG company
  • Wine or spirits category experience a big positive.
  • Experience presenting programs to executive management and retailers.


  • Primary work activities are within an office environment.
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs (case of wine)
