Recruiting Process and Tips



Step 1: Apply

Once you've found an opportunity that interests you you can submit an application through our main website. A member of our recruitment team will review your resume and determine your eligibility for the job you have applied for. You will be contacted for the next steps.

Step 2: Interview

There may be a phone screen in addition to an in person interview with the hiring manager. This will be both an opportunity for us to get to know you better and also for you to learn more about our organizational culture and fit. Be sure to ask some questions!

Step 3: Offer & On-Boarding

Congratulations! Our recruiters and hiring managers have decided that it is the right decision for both The Wine Group and you. An offer will be extended through email or a phone call or both. Once you have accepted an offer from The Wine Group you will be able to access our website for on-boarding. Welcome aboard!

Resume Tips

  • Position your most relevant points first so they are easier to read.
  • Include results and supporting data instead of a list of responsibilities.
  • Use bullet points with short sentences.
  • Use action words. It may be helpful to Google a list of action words.

Interview Tips

  • Practice common interview questions before the interview.
  • Dress for success and arrive on time.
  • Make good first impressions, even to the receptionist. It is good etiquette to thank your interviewer in person, by email, or by mail.
  • Do research on both the company and position you are interviewing for. It will let you understand company culture and what is expected in your position.
  • Think of a few questions to ask before the interview. We want you to enjoy working here. It is important to know what to expect in your future career.
